Aviation photographs can sometimes be predictable and basic in content. It can be very hard to produce something a little special. Most examples of the art show nothing more than the entire aircraft either in flight, taking off landing or taxiing. I am not saying that this is in anyway a bad thing, the majority of my own photographs are just that. However when I see a photograph like this beautiful capture of the Corsair, it shows that creativity is very much alive and well within aviation photography.

I guess I really should talk about the technical side of things. The shot is pin sharp, it has beautiful colour and contrast and has wonderful symmetry. One of the best things about the shot is that it has no sign of any background clutter, which is something that can really spoil a great photograph. I guess I should offer some real criticism but other than the fact that the very tip of the tail is clipped out of frame there is nothing I can see to criticise, and even that is just nit picking really.

This is a truly wonderful photograph and I feel it is only right to award full marks on all counts.
